Rob graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1996 and is a registered professional engineer in several states. Upon graduation Rob was commissioned and entered into active military service with the United States Army. Upon completion of his active duty service and transition into the Army Reserve, Rob joined an information technology networking company where he provided the facility and implementation of Metropolitan Area Networks in various markets.

Since 2001, Rob has provided engineering consulting services in the area of electrical systems and equipment failure analysis, electrical injury and electrocution investigations, and fire causation investigations for commercial, residential and vehicular fire losses.

Rob is a Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI) and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (NAFI-CFEI). He is a member of various professional organizations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the International Association of Arson Investigations (IAAI), the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Rob has instructed at various IAAI Chapter Seminars and Fire Marshal’s Office on the subjects including the role of engineers in fire investigations and electrical system and appliance evaluations as related to fire scene investigations.
